0 miles, La Crotoy
Posted by Brock under France
Decided to spend the day off the bikes today, to explore La Crotoy on the Baie de Somme. A sleepy little town with a lot of war history and some connection to Joan of Arc. What interested us more though was its numerous fish resaurants that all seemed to specialise in mussels. It was quite a grey murky day but the sun decided to shine on us as we sat outside one of the cafés eating ‘moules mariniére’ and ‘moules
á la créme’, with a caraffe of red wine to wash them down. A pleasant relaxing day which hopefully will have recouperated us for a good cycle tomorrow. Dinner tonight was a rather splendid chili that is almost certain to interrupt us during the night.
