Decided to spend the day off the bikes today, to explore La Crotoy on the Baie de Somme. A sleepy little town with a lot of war history and some connection to Joan of Arc. What interested us more though was its IMG_0384numerous fish resaurants that all seemed to specialise in mussels. It was quite a grey murky day but the sun decided to shine on us as we sat outside one of the cafés eating ‘moules mariniére’ and ‘moulesIMG_0388 á la créme’, with a caraffe of red wine to wash them down. A pleasant relaxing day which hopefully will have recouperated us for a good cycle tomorrow. Dinner tonight was a rather splendid chili that is almost certain to interrupt us during the night.
