Our decamps are getting faster, we were on the road just after 10am this morning! It was wonderful cycling around the bay, through misty, wild wetlands and fields. The superb cycle paths that we’re getting used to brought us into the delightful town of St. Valery sur Somme. We sipped excellent espressos in a café come art gallery, and managed to update the blog with their free internet connection. Later we sat near theIMG_0399 riverside munching a picnic lunch of baguette with brie and ham while watching fishermen on the other side catching eel. Apparently this area is known for its smoked eel, so we’ll be on the lookout for some of that tomorrow!
